Sinhgad Academy of Engineering is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The Department of Mechanical Engineering admits 150 students every year and is supported by a team of highly qualified and motivated faculty with an average experience of over 16 years. Over half of the faculty members either holding or are pursuing Ph.D. degrees, cultivating a strong research culture that enhances student learning and holistic development.
Since 2009, the department’s Motor Club teams have consistently won awards in national events such as BAJA, SUPRA, QUAD-TORQ, and Go-Kart, earning recognition from media platforms including ETV, SAAM TV, Maharashtra Times, Times of India, and The Indian Express.
Our Alumni are placed in leading industries such as Tata Motors, Tata Technologies, Ashok Leyland, Atlas Copco, Greaves, and Mahindra & Mahindra, reflecting the department’s strong industry connect and academic excellence.
